In todays environment many of us find ourselves unable to meet our physical, mental and emotional needs. Degenerative disease, depression, stress and malnutrition pose a growing threat to the “developed world“. Physical nutrition teaches you how to attain your own physical and mental well being.

If you feel you that you no longer live life to the full – you are just getting by with less energy, too much stress, or perhaps you are depressed and constantly fatigued then you may be what we call one of the “vertically ill”. Still going to work, still walking but just not feeling great and certainly lack in spark or vitality.

BUT your health can be better than this – health means consistent energy, mental clarity, the ability to handle stress, freedom from infection and emotional balance. There is so much we can do to promote our own health – nutritional therapy and Ayurveda provide the tools to help.

At PHYSICAL NUTRITION the aim is to restore your body to its optimal health and vitality. Using a combination of diet, lifestyle, natural supplements and physical treatments such as full body massage, meditation, Yoga and other forms of subtle therapies, we help you achieve your goals.

Most of today's health problems are based on underlying biological imbalances caused by the food we are eating, our lifestyles and the environment in which we live. A toxic lifestyle, allergies, additives, stress and bugs can be far more harmful than the genes we inherit. However, there is so much that we can do to promote health, prevent disease and keep us happy and full of energy. Physical Nutrition can provide you with a tool that can help you define your own well being.

Nutrition

Nutrition works on a cellular level providing the key ingredients needed for each unique individual to build a more resilient and healthy body. Just as we need oxygen from the air we breathe, every cell and every organ in our body needs the correct chemicals to flourish. These neutraceuticals (vitamins, proteins, minerals etc) are obtained from the food we eat. This does not only depend on the right personalized diet for the body but also making sure that we can digest and absorb what we eat. Our daily routine, eating habits and environment can all affect how our body uses food and so a nutritional therapist will look at your complete health and lifestyle picture – not just what you are eating.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a complex system of holistic health - it means the "art of living wisely". Ayurveda guides us so that we can live a healthier and more balance lifestyle. It recognises we are all unique and focuses on food, lifestyle, massage, Yoga and herbal remedies to suit our individual make-up.

Using a combination of clinical nutrition and the more holistic approach of Ayurveda, a personal program for health is developed between practitioner and patient.
